Robert M. (Bob) Planck, 84, formerly of South Toledo passed away Saturday, December 10, 2005 in Heartland of Oregon. He was born in Toledo on January 2, 1921 to Merle and Eva (Forester) Planck. Bob married Emma Mae Callihan and they have five children. He was an Army Air Corp veteran of World War II. After returning from the war Bob found employment as circulation manager at the Toledo Blade for 38 years, retiring in 1986. He was also employed part time for the Treu House of Munch. Bob was a avid boater and enjoyed spending time on Lake Erie. Surviving are his sons, Douglas (Mary) of Martin, OH and David Planck of Toledo, OH; daughters, Deborah Johnson of Mt. View, Wyoming, Dorothy Planck of Maui Hawaii and Donna (Tom) Newton of Martin, OH; 5 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Betty and Virginia, and his wife, Emma. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 am in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, 440 S. Coy Road at Starr Avenue where visitation will be Tuesday from 2 to 9 pm. Interment will be in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Memorial contributions in Robert's memory can be made to either Heartland Hospice or the charity of the donor's choice.
