Robert W. Roughton, 93, of Springhill Florida, and formerly of Toledo, passed away Friday, February 20, 2014 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Bob was born on March 19, 1921 in Lapeer, Michigan to Harry and Clara (Brown) Roughton. Bob was a World War II Veteran of the United States Navy. He was employed with Hostess Bakery and retired as plant superintendent in 1991 after 45 years of service. His hobbies included baking and maintaining his yard. Bob is survived by his sons, Daryl (Terri) Roughton and David (Marie) Roughton; grandchildren, Kristen Roughton, Jennifer (Jake) Ray, Crystal, Brittany and Danica Roughton, and Michael Sasse; and great-grandchildren, Cooper and Lucas. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Catherine; daughter, Linda Sasse; and grandson, Christopher Roughton. Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Friday, February 27, 2015 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Troy Township Cemetery.
