Robert M. Torres, 85, of Toledo, OH, passed away on Friday, July 13, 2007, in The Toledo Hospital. Robert was born on July 21, 1921, in San Antonio, TX, to Pedro and Andrea (Mendez) Torres. He was a factory worker for various companies and retired after 50 years of service in 1975. Robert was an Army veteran of WWII, member of Restoration Church and enjoyed riding his bicycle and moped around town. Surviving are his children, Robert R. (Lucy), Carlos (Teresa), Emma DeLuca, Rudy, Virginia (Jose) Vargas, Mary (Antonio Jr.) Vallejo, Jesse (Colleen) Ruiz, Jose "Angel" (Mary L.), Janie (Juan) Reyna, Samuel E. Sr., Jacob and Daniel Torres; sisters, Stella Cortez, Antonia Torres, Josephine Sarabia and Gloria (Pete) Diaz; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Leonora; daughter, Dolores Navarro and sons, Richard, Alfred and Tony. Visitation will be held on Monday and Tuesday from 2-9 p.m. at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road, Millbury, OH, where funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place in Restlawn Memorial Park.
