Roberta H. Edens, 85, formerly of Stoney Ridge, OH passed away December 16, 2004 at Otterbein Portage Valley. She was born in Lawrenceburg, TN on March 15, 1919 to Ferman and Ruth (Shaw) Brown. Roberta was a member of Echo Meadows Church of Christ. Roberta was a homemaker as well as being involved for many years in The World Bible School Program. She graded bible correspondence courses and spent many hours writing letters and answering questions for ministerial students in Africa. Surviving are her children, Alva (Audrey), Joyce (Floyd) Chamberlain, Fred (Lynn), Terry (Lori), Tammy (Ryan) Newell; daughter-in-law, Beverly Edens Randolph; sisters, Clara Murdock and Camilla Voss; 19 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edgar and son, Kennon, brothers, Frank & Neal Brown; sister, Lacey Brown. Visitation will be held on Monday from 2-9 p.m. at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road at Starr Ave. Funeral services will be conducted by David Hammonds, minister of the Adams Blvd. Church of Christ in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, in Echo Meadows Church of Christ on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. and where the family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Entombment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park. Expressions of sympathy in Roberta's memory can be made to Echo Meadows Church of Christ or to the Alzheimer's Association.
