Rodney "David" Pyle, 82, of Perrysburg, OH, passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Dave was born on Sept. 6, 1939 to Rodney and Margaret (Stoll) Pyle in Beaver, OH. He was a 1957 graduate of Clay High School and a 1962 graduate of Findlay College. On Sept. 23, 1960, he married the love of his life, Alida Deanda, in Angola, IN. Together, they raised their 3 boys in Oregon. After college, Dave started his career as a Math teacher at Monroe Jefferson Middle School, where he also coached basketball. During his 32 year career, he had the opportunity to make many life long friends. He worked many summers for Pepsi, often taking his boys along to enjoy the fairs and carnivals to which he took the Pepsi truck. He also volunteered at St. Charles Hospital alongside his mother, Margaret. Retiring in 1994, he and Alida spent many winters traveling to Florida. Dave enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his beloved family. He loved Ohio State football and basketball, was an avid NASCAR and Bill Elliot fan, and attended MIS races every year for 25 years. He loved to attend the OHSAA Basketball championships and did so for many years. He took pleasure in taking his sons and grandchildren to Cleveland Indians games and car races. Dave was a life long member of Christ United Methodist Church and recent member of Maumee United Methodist. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Alida; sons, David "Randy" (Cheryl) Pyle, twins, Dennis and Derrick (Amy Villagomez) Pyle; grandchildren, Ashley (Josh) Mariucci, Joseph Pyle, Douglas (Laura) Pyle, Ariel (Josh Segura) Pyle, Austin, Andrew and Noah Pyle; great- grandchildren, Gianna and Aspen Mariucci, Kason Pyle, Lyricx, Saylor and Alida Jo Segura, and Weston Pyle; sister-in-law, Delpha (Kenneth) Boes and many loving friends and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Eileen Engel; parents-in-law, Edward, Sr. and Ventura Deanda; and brother-in-law, Edward Deanda, Jr. Friends will be received at the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, OH 43616 on Monday, May 9, 2022 from 10:00 am.-12:00 pm. with funeral services following at 12:00 noon.
