Rodolfo V. Flores, 77, of Toledo, passed away on September 6, 2013 at Heartland of Holly Glen. He was born in San Antonio, TX on March 10, 1936 to Genaro and Maria (Ruiz) Flores. He worked for the Chrysler Jeep Company before retiring after 36 years. Rodolfo was a member of St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. He married the love of his life, Consuelo (Campos) in 1954. Together they were the first mobile disc jockeys in Michigan with their station WGOR. Over the next 30 years they had several stations throughout the region where Roldofo became known as El Maestro.
Surviving are his loving wife of 59 years, Consuelo; children, Christina (Roberto Jr.) Jaime, Rodolfo Jr. (Rosalinda), Rachel (Gilbert) Rosario, Linda Carter, Suzanne Flores, Consuelo II (Leonardo) Brown; brother, Tony (Sally); sisters, Beatrice, Angie, Elena, Peggy; 30 + grandchildren; many many great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Johnny; and brothers, Ruben and Ernest.
Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 from 2-9 p.m. with rosary services at 6:00 p.m. The family will also greet friends on Wednesday September 11, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 728 S. St. Clair Street, Toledo until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.
