Roena W. Hoffman, 73, of Genoa, Ohio, passed away Friday, June 26, 2009, at St. Charles Mercy Hospital surrounded by her family. Roena was born in Findlay, Ohio on October 8, 1935, to Ralph and Catherine (Hollister) Taylor. She had worked for the Genoa Care Center as a cook for several years. Roena was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, she was also a member of the Zenobia Ladies Oriental Shrine and the Genoa American Legion Post 324 Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving are her loving husband, Stanley J. Sr.; sons, Stanley J. Jr., Gary W.; 3 grandchildren; 1 great- granddaughter; brother, Ronnie Taylor; sister, Katherine Fruith. Roena was preceded in death by her parents and 6 siblings. Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road, Millbury, on Sunday from 1-8 p.m. with the family being present from 1-4 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Monday in Trinity United Methodist Church, Main Street and St. Rt. 163, Genoa, Ohio at 1:30 p.m. and where the family will greet friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Clay Township Cemetery.
