Roger W. Freimark, 82, of Millersburg, Michigan and formerly of Oregon, OH passed away on December 11, 2012 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Perrysburg. He was born on July 26, 1930 to Emery and Bessie (Haack). Roger was a 1948 graduate of Waite High School and a veteran of the Korean War. He was employed with the Sun Oil Company 40 years, retiring as an electrician in 1988. Roger was a former member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, where he served as a deacon. He was also a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in, Ocqueoc MI. Roger was on the board of the Sun Federal Credit Union and a member of the Sun Oil Retiree'™s. He enjoyed bowling, hunting and fishing. He also spent many years coaching boys and girls softball and enjoyed watching his family participate in many sporting events.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Carolyn (nee Christie); daughters, Karen (Bruce) Meyer, Waterville, OH and Mary Hayes, Oregon, OH; son, James (Maryjo), Curtice, OH;; grandchildren, Douglas (Amber) Meyer, Daniel (Jillian) Meyer, Christie (Jay) Maggard and Matthew Freimark; great grandchildren, Trey, Mikayla, Kamryn, Isaac, Alexis, Emma and Audrey. Roger was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Iris Allman and Bernadine Rosler; grandchild, Jacob Freimark and son-in-law, Michael Hayes.
Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Friday from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at St. Mark Lutheran Church 611 Woodville Rd. Toledo, OH on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Williston Cemetery will be private. Expressions of sympathy in Roger'™s memory can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or St. Mark Lutheran Church.
