Ronald C. Miller. 65 of Oregon, Ohio passed away from complications of cancer on Friday, December 7, 2012 at Mercy St. Charles Hospital. Ron was born in Toledo, Ohio on January 29, 1947 to Arthur and Eva (Walp) Miller, who preceded him in death. Ron enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving 10 years for his country during the Vietnam Era. Ron retired from the City of Oregon in 2008 after 19 years of employment where he was the sexton for the city cemeteries, Willow and North Oregon.. He was a member of the Genoa American Legion Band, the Owens Community College Band, the Christ Dunberger Post and the Dachshund Rescue of North America where he also was on the Board of Directors.
Surviving are his wife, 'œJan' Juanita (Corl) Miller; daughter, Dawn (Richard) Brogan; grandchildren, Kayla and Robert Brogan, Taylor (Alex) Cooper; sisters Marlene (Mark) Gomer; Becky (Harold) Bechstein. Also surviving are Ron'™s 4 canine and foster canine buddies.
Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home. Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, on Friday 2-9 p.m. and where Ron'™s Going Home Service will be conducted on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Willow Cemetery, Oregon, Ohio. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Ron'™s memory are asked to consider the Genoa American Legion Band or Honor Flight of Northwest Ohio or Dachshund Rescue North America.
Ron will be crossing the Rainbow Bridge, where canines will finally meet their Masters!
