Ronald D. Steep, 74, of Walbridge, Ohio passed away February 16, 2013 in his home. He was born on December 26, 1938 to Michael and Belle (Iler) Steep in Saginaw, MI. Ron was an US Air Force veteran, serving his country from 1956-1960. He was employed as a brakeman for the CSX Railroad for the majority of his railroad career, but was promoted to an engineer for the last two years. Ron retired in 1999 after 29 years of service due to a health issue. He had camaraderie of good friends. Ron enjoyed Michigan football, history and science programs on TV. He was a very knowledgeable person with a good sense of humor ��" with a nick name most would know! Surviving are his loving wife, Alice; sons, Michael (Trina) and Ross (Stephanie) Steep; grandchildren, Luke David, Brody Michael and Alexa Lee, and dog, Ollie. Ron was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Michael and Mervin; sister, Rita; father and mother-in-law, Vincent and Agnes Howard. A Memorial Service will be held at Mainstreet Church, 705 N. Main Street, Walbridge, Ohio on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. and where the family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. Expressions of sympathy in Ron'™s memory can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
