Ronald D. Tilton, 71, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away Monday, February 11, 2019 at Mercy Health St. Charles Hospital. Ron was born in Toledo, Ohio on January 12, 1948 to Alton and Ruby (Rowe) Tilton. He was a graduate of Macomber High School and served in the United States Army. For over 20 years, he worked as an operations manager with Priority Dispatch and recently worked as a driver for Luther Home of Mercy - Williston. He enjoyed working in his yard, feeding squirrels, cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes, and spending time with his grandchildren. Ron enjoyed traveling and made yearly visits to Mackinac Island for over 50 years. In recent years, Ron was active with the Christ Dunberger American Legion Post serving as Finance Officer, Hall Rental Chairman, and member of the Color Guard. Ron is survived by his wife of 37 years, Joyce; children, Scott (Whitney) Tilton, William Todd McDaniel, Brad (Lisa) Tilton, John (Kelsea) Tilton; special nieces, Pam (Rob) Lefevre and Joy (John) McQueary; special nephew, Beau (Mickey) Schultz; grandchildren, Allison, Peter, Breanna, Carley, Elle, Brock, Nicholas, Mia, and Brody; brother, Bill (Joan) Tilton; sister, Linda (Tom) Miller; beloved dog, Zoey; cats, Pippi and Marley; along with many loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorothy Tilton; son, Ronald Tilton; brother, Don Tilton; and sister, Joyce Tilton. The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Thursday, February 14, 2019 from 2:00 pm – 8:00pm. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, February 15, 2019 at 10:00 am in the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Christ Dunberger American Legion Post or the Toledo Humane Society.
