Rosalie was a loving and devoted wife of Karl Hirzel, Sr., owner of Hirzel Canning Company. Rosalie enjoyed dancing and singing and was one of the first pupils of the Beatrice Gardner Dance Studio. There they worked to educate and enhance the lives of many Bahamians in Gregorytown. Her husband, Karl Sr., and her son, John Edward Hirzel, preceded Rosalie in death. Surviving are sons, Karl (Barbara) Hirzel, Jr., Joseph (Julia), William (Beverly); daughters, Marilyn (Louis) Kozma, and Rosalie Ann Moore, as well as daughter-in-law, Lizabeth Hirzel.
