Rosann A. Murray, 97, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Saturday, March 23, 2024 at the Gardens of St. Francis, Oregon, Ohio. She was born June 25, 1926, in Toledo, Ohio to Harry and Cecilia (Adams) Hammond. Rosann was a longtime member of First St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Oregon; assisting with vacation bible school, member of the altar guild, and was editor of the monthly newsletter. Rosann and her husband Lowell traveled extensively throughout the United States and enjoyed wintering in Florida. After Lowell's passing in 1999, Rosann explored the world; traveling to Australia, Ireland, Italy and Scotland. Rosann enjoyed walking daily at Pearson Park and at age of 88, walked across the Mackinaw Bridge on Labor Day. Her greatest love was spending time with her family whom she loved dearly.
Rosann is survived by her children, Donald (Lois) Murray, Suzann (Bill) Roebuck, Robert (Karen) Murray, and Nancie (Rich) DeVaul; grandchildren, James (Theresa) Murray, Mechele Murray, Neil (Bev) Roebuck, Glen Roebuck, Kelly (Dan) Jacobs, Bret (Tammy) Myers, Brooke (Ken) Click, and Nicole (Chad Lee) DeVaul; great-grandchildren, Meranda (Edwardo) Resendez, Kaitlin, Natalie, Tyler, Kyle, Kaylee, Chelsea, Bella, and Madie; along with 8 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lowell; grandson, Matthew Murray; and sister, Virginia Pease.
The family will receive friends at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road Tuesday, April 9, 2024 from 9:00 am until memorial service at 10:00 am. Interment: Lake Township Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to DHR Rescue, Hospice of Northwest Ohio, or charity of the donor's choice.
