Rosetta M. Davis, 91, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Saturday, August 18, 2018 surrounded by her family. Rosetta was born in Lapeer, Michigan on August 20, 1926 to Fred and Rosetta (Dutcher) Petty. Rosetta was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, her family was her joy. She served her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ all the days of her life. She attended Open Bible College 1954-1958 where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Religious Education and was an ordained Minister. Rosetta fought the good fight, she finished the race, and always kept the faith
Rosetta is survived by her children, Debbie (Cecil) Quamina, Mark (Wendy) Davis, Philip (Anne) Davis, and Rhonda Davis; 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and two great grandchildren on the way; sister, Bernice (Petty) Johnson; and sisters-in-law, Virginia Peters and Louise Petty. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Weldon; daughter, Rachel., brothers Walt, Norris, and Clyde Petty., sisters Jessie Pleake., and Ruth Cassacker.
The family will receive friends at Eggleston-Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Friday, August 24, 2018 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 11:00 am in the funeral home, where the family will greet friends beginning at 9:30 am. Interment to follow at Lake Township Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Spirit in Truth Church. The family would like to thank the nurses of Promedica Bay Park Hospital for the incredible compassion, care, and comfort they provided to her as well as the family, words cannot express how grateful and appreciative the family is for all that was done.
