Rosita Mendoza Alaniz, 80, of Bono, OH passed away July 17, 2006 in Hospice of NW Ohio. She was born in San Marcos, TX on September 4, 1925 to Nicholas and Ilidia (Torres) Mendoza. Rosita was a member of Primera Iglesia Bautista Church. She enjoyed fishing, taking trips to Mexico and gardening, especially growing roses. Reading the bible was a very important part of Rosita's life, and she enjoyed talking to and being around people. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Francisco; son, Fernando (Dalia); daughters, Alicia (John) McLeod and Maria Ruth (Darin) Harder; brothers and sisters, Victoria Garcia, Chavela Segundo, Gilbert (Jesusa) Mendoza, Luis (Margarita) Mendoza, Nicholas (Maria) Mendoza, Carmen (Benjamin) Gutierrez, JoAnn (Greg) Harast, Sara (Ernesto) Reyes and Eloisa (Felix) DeAnda; grandchildren, Melissa (Adam) Goldberg, Gabriel (Gabrielle) Alaniz, Michael (Mary) Alaniz and Aaron Harder; great granddaughter, Gabianna Alaniz and many nieces and nephews. Rosita was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Frank and Fidel Mendoza. Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road Oregon, Ohio on Friday, July 21, 2006 from 2-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Saturday at 11 a.m. with interment following in Restlawn Memorial Park.
