Roy L. Glass Sr., 85, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family Monday, June 14, 2021. Roy was born in Summershade, Kentucky May 22, 1936 to Marvin and Mattie (Eudy) Glass. Mr. Glass served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. On March 11, 1961, he married the love of his life Marthalou Miller. Roy retired in 1996 after 41 years as a railroader. His true love was spending time with his family and cheering on the Ohio State Buckeye and Dallas Cowboys. Roy is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marthalou; children, Roy "Tiger" (Melinda) Glass Jr., Martie (John) Stuck, and Robin Stevenson; grandchildren, Rachel, Chris (Terra), Ryan, and Tyler (Heather); great-grandchildren, Kyle, Jaden, Myah, C.J., Adalynn, and Aria. Preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Maxine, Sarah, Joyce, Donald, Charles, Clayton, Ernest, Burrell, James, and Earl. The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 from 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Funeral services 10:00 am Thursday, June 17, 2021 in the funeral home. Interment: Lake Township Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Ohio Living Hospice or a charity of the donor's choice.
