Roy S. Ladd, 84, of Oregon, Ohio passed away November 20, 2004 in the Lutheran Home at Toledo where he has resided for the past 6 years. He was born on January 28, 1920 to Godfrey and Mary (Hummon) Ladd. Roy was an Army World War II veteran. He was an instrument specialist with Standard Oil for 47 years retiring in 1985. Roy was also a member of First St. John Lutheran Church. He loved flowers and gardening along with reading, music, movies, shopping and especially enjoyed meeting and talking to people. Roy is survived by his loving children, Debra (Bob)Hecklinger and Jeffrey(Deborah) Ladd; grandchildren, Bob Hecklinger, Susan Tilton, Alissa and Adam Ladd. He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther; brother Gilbert Ladd and his parents. Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, OH on Sunday from 1-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Monday at 1:00 pm.
