Roy T. Thacker, 50, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, January 26, 2005, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. Tom was born in Toledo, Ohio on May 19, 1954, to James and Ernestine (Davis) Thacker. He was preceded by his mother. Tom married Mary L. Rock on May 26, 1973. He currently was a supervisor for Daimler Chrylser where he had worked for 31 years. Tom was a member of the Maple City Bass Club and was an avid fisherman. Tom will always be remembered as a devoted husband, father and also a man who thoroughly enjoyed his friends. Surviving are his wife, Mary; son, Ken Thacker; daughter, Jennifer Thacker; father, James Thacker; brother, Rick (Debbie) Thacker; father and mother-in-law, Kenneth and Beverly Rock; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ken (Antonia) Rock, David (Linda) Rock, Dennis (Cathy) Rock, Leanne Rock; numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving is his best friend, Bill Cerrone. Visitation will be held on Sunday, 12-9 p.m. at the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. Expression of sympathy in Tom's memory can be made to donor's choice.
