Russel Beach, age 88, of Millbury, passed away Monday, February 29, 2016 at Genesis of Perrysburg. He was born on March 18, 1927 in Philipsburg, PA to Noah and Jennie (Fry) Beach. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and US Coast Guard. Russel enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers with his son Russ, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also loved walking the neighborhood, visiting his neighbors and watching old Westerns. Russel had many loving friends, but most were know to him as, "Ace." He was a great man with a big heart and will be deeply missed. Russel is survived by his loving son, Russell (Tammy) Beach; daughter, Shirley; grandchildren, Kristi (Craig), Mandi (Tyler) Palmer, Sara (Clay), Kurt, David, Tony; great-grandchildren, Jace and Liam; sister, Peg Rodgers and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Catherine (Pelton); sisters, Gladys, Catherine, Isabelle; brothers, Cecil and George. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2016 from 1:00 pm until the time of memorial service at 7:00 pm. at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road, Millbury. Inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a memorial contribution are asked to consider Odyssey Hospice or the American Heart Association.
