Ruth M. Everhardt, 82, of Walbridge, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2004, at St. Luke's Hospital. Ruth was born in Toledo, Ohio, on January 8, 1922, to Fred and Mae (Wallace) Newkirk. She retired from Peterson Spring Company in 1984. Ruth was a member of the Northwood Baptist Church and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post #2984. Surviving are her loving husband of 64 years, LeRoy L; devoted children, Marvin "Skip" (Virginia) Everhardt, Ester Mae Wheat, Danny Lee (Christy) Everhardt; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Ethel Lewis. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; son, Roy Allan; daughter, Marian; granddaughter, Amy; brother, Fred; sister, Margaret. The family will receive friends in the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Woodville Road Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road, Millbury, OH, on Thursday from 4-9 p.m. and on Friday from 2-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
