Ruth E. Thomas, 82, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away Friday, July 13, 2012 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, with her family by her side. Ruth was born on August 9, 1929 to Carl and Matilda (Flick) Stein. On April 12, 1958, she married William Thomas. Ruth had a love for the arts and was a member of the Toledo Women'™s Art League for many years where she had also served as president. Ruth enjoyed spending time with her in-laws playing cards and visiting during the holidays. Ruth was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Ruth is survived by her husband of 54 years, William; son David (Lisa) Thomas and grandson, Andrew Thomas. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Robert and Carl Stein; and sisters, Margaret Parritt, Rose Anthony and Marilyn Jankowski. Family and Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Monday, July 16th from 3:00-8:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 am Tuesday in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Lake Township Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the staff of Promedica Bay Park Hospital and Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg for the loving care of Ruth.
