Ruth E. Weiker, 86, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2003 in her home. She was born on July 7, 1917 in Toledo, Ohio to George and Lillian (Geisert) Boxwell. Ruth was employed for several years with Von Ewegen's Drug Store. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Delta Chi Sigma Sorority and the Waite High School Alumni Association for many years. Ruth enjoyed playing Bingo, Euchre, Bowling and Golf. Surviving are her son, James R. (Gail) Weiker of West End, NC; daughters, Shelley R. (Dwight) Schoonover of Oregon, OH and Kim E. (Bruce) Baumhower of Oregon, OH; grandchildren, Jef, Gary (Lin) Weiker, Tracy (Jimbo) Betts, Sherry (Jeff) Baumgartner, Brian (Liz) Schoonover, Shaun Schoonover and Justin, Chad and Brooke Baumhower; 9 great-grandchildren. Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Friday from 2-7 pm with memorial services conducted at 7 pm. Interment will take place at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park at a later date.
