Ruth J. Willer, 98, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 in the Lutheran Home at Toledo. She was born in Marysville, Ohio on April 12, 1916 Ernest and Minta (Helsel) Wenzel. Ruth was employed as a legal secretary with Hughes, Duffy and Cruey for several years. She was a member of St. Petri and First St. John Lutheran Churches in Toledo, Ohio along with St. Martin Lutheran Church in Port Huron, MI. She also enjoyed playing cards and working crossword puzzles with a pen. Ruth is survived by her daughter, Joan (Eugene) Farmer; granddaughter, Michelle M. (Robert) Mueller; great-granddaughter, Morgan Riley Mueller and sister, Esther Stowell; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Rev. Earl Willer; and sister, Miriam Johnson. Friends may visit at the Lutheran Home at Toledo'™s Chapel, 2251 Seaman Street, Toledo on Thursday, October 23, 2014 from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm. Interment will take place at St. John'™s cemetery. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be directed to the Lutheran Home at Toledo.
