Sally V. Moreno, 89, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Monday, September 25, 2017. She was born in Toledo, Ohio to Felipe and Serafina (Herrera) Alvarado on September 23, 1928. She married the love of her life, Enrique Moreno on July 24, 1948. Sally was a member of Epiphany of the Lord Parish-St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. She worked in the Toledo Public School system before retiring after 25 years. Her true passion was cooking and spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Sally is survived by her children, Sally Ann (Jim) Kurth, Charles (Diane) Moreno, Mary Moreno; brother, Louie and Dave Alvarado; sister, Josie Smith; grandchildren, Michelle, James, Anthony, Nicolas, Chuck; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and many nieces, nephews and loving family members. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Henry; siblings, Maria, Joe, Phil, Manuel and Susie. Friends and family may visit Eggleston-Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., Oregon, Ohio 43616 on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 from 2-8 pm with prayer services at 6:00 pm. The family will greet friends at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 729 White St., Toledo, Ohio, 43605, Thursday, September 28, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Sally's name may be directed to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or St. Thomas Aquinas Church.
