Sam DiMario, 72, of Toledo, passed away Thursday, March 12, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on March 18, 1942 to Lorenzo and Carmela (Goleno) DiMario. Sam was an Army veteran and after retiring from Toledo Edison, he spent the last 22 years as a taxidermist. He enjoyed nothing more than fishing, hunting and spending time with his family at the cottage in Coldwater, MI. Sam will be greatly missed by everyone but they believe he's somewhere sitting on a boat, with a fishing pole in his hand.
Sam leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Sue; children, Dean (Nichole) DiMario and Dan (Laura) DiMario; grandchildren, Jordan, Jared, Olivia and Colin DiMario; and sister, Antoinette "Toni" (Pete) Villarreal. He is preceded in death by his parents; great-granddaughter, Lucy; and brother, Larry DiMario.
Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, 440 South Coy Road, Oregon, Ohio on Monday, March 16 from 2:00 p.m. until time of the memorial service at 6:00 p.m. Memorial contributions can be directed to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
