Samuel Thomas Jr., 88, of Toledo, Ohio passed away July 13, 2006 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on March 27, 1918 to Samuel Sr. and Katherine (Szekeres) Thomas. Sam had worked 28 years for Pure Oil, and 12 years with the City of Toledo, retiring in 1980. Sam was a 50 year member of the Yondota Lodge F&AM Port Lawrence Chapter, a YMCA Member. He was also proud of his Hungarian heritage.   Surviving are his loving wife of 66 years, Mary ; daughters, Mary K. (Duane) Hubaker, Stephanie (Allen) Sweet, and Andrea (Jim) Myers; son, Sam (Carol) Thomas;  6 grandchildren, Kristin (Joe) Wotring, Philip (Kelli) Thomas, Jill Dusseau,  Jason (Rebecca Everts) Sweet, Brian Sweet, Aaron Meyers; 4 great-grandchildren, Samuel J. Wotring, Anthony J. Sweet, Jordan E. Thomas and Christopher J. Sweet. Samuel was preceded in death by his sisters Barbara Antey, Elizabeth Doktor, Katherine Gall Margaret Visi; brother, Andrew Thomas; grandson in-law, Joseph Dusseau.   Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd, on Sunday from 2-9 p.m.. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.  Interment will be at Willow Cemetery.  Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Samuel's memory are asked to consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio or Lutheran Home at Toledo or the Toledo Humane Society.   Sam's family would like to express their thanks to Hospice of Northwest Ohio; nursing staff 2nd floor at Lutheran Home at Toledo and assisted living; Marla and Tom; nursing staff and doctors at St Charles Mercy Hospital and the ER, Med Surg N, SCCU; the doctors at Oregon Clinic, for all the TLC they provided to Sam during his illness.
