Sandra "Sandy" L. Hauck, 69, of Oregon, Ohio passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. She was born on October 3, 1954 in Bermuda to Thomas and Shirley (Hooks) Heck.

Sandy was in the Class of 1973 at Waite High School. She went on to work for the Ohio Turnpike retiring as a supervisor after 31 years. Sandy found her passion in exquisite landscaping and jewelry, helping customers at Alan Miller Jewelers find the perfect piece of jewelry for any occasion in the store for the last 13 years. She was lovingly known to her friends as "Sandy the Queen of Diamonds". Sandy will be remembered for her bubbly personality and loved by all who knew her.

Left to forever cherish her memory is her son, Danny (Amanda) Koester; grandchildren, Logan, Blake and Sidney; siblings, Bonnie Mariucci-Gentile, Kerry Heck, Ronald Carter Jr., Sharon Carter Smith, John Carter, Mary Avery; many nieces and nephews; best and lifelong friend, Gayle Maves.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents; the love of her life for 44 years, Michael Hauck; and brother Scott Heck.

The family will receive friends at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Sunday, February 11, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. until the start of funeral services at 6:00 p.m. Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider Helping Hands of St. Louis.
