Sarah V. (Day) Grimes, 69, of Northwood, Ohio, passed away at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Monday, June 19, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Odd, West Virginia on February 26, 1948 to Paul and Hazel (Shrewsbury) Day Sr. She was the eighth of twelve children. She met the love of her life, Keith Grimes, when by chance they were partnered together in a bridal party. They married March 27, 1967 and enjoyed many happy years together until Keith's untimely passing in 1991. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren. She lived a selfless life and was always asking how she could help. There wasn't a time when she wouldn't put someone else's needs before her own. It was because of this quality that she excelled in her career as an Administrative Assistant and Office Manager in the Career Center at Bowling Green State University. She retired in 2012 after 34 years of service. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters; Deanna (Ty) Falk of Northwood, OH, Shelley (Matthew) Housholder of Highland Park, IL; grandchildren, Jacob (Bobbi Jo) Falk, Tanner Falk, Madalyn Falk, Ava Housholder, Nolan Housholder; great-grandchildren; Colton Falk, Tyler Falk, Ryan Falk; brothers, David Day, Robert (Mary) Day, Danny (Debbie) Day, Jerry (Louise) Day; mother-in-law, Mary Ellen Grimes; brothers-in-law, Willard Long Jr., Jerry (Linda) Grimes, Dale (Debbie) Grimes and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Grimes; parents; brothers, Joseph "Frank" Day, Paul "Jeep" Day Jr., James Day; sisters, Shirley Shank, Linda Lairson, Penny Day, Geneva Long; and father-in-law, Donald Grimes. The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 2-8 pm with Fraternal Order of Eagles services at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 11:00 am.
