Sarah Ruth Watson, 90 of Skiatook, OK (formerly from Oregon, Ohio) passed away early Saturday morning, December 31, 2016 in the Highlands Nursing Home near Skiatook. Ruth was born in Cookeville, Tennessee on January 28th, 1926 to Buford and Ella Smith. She was married to the late Paul Watson for 60 years. She and Paul, a Minister for the churches of Christ, lived in California, Michigan, Ohio and spent over 4 years as missionaries in Nazareth, Israel. They most recently served at the Echo Meadows church of Christ in Oregon, Ohio for 38 years. She is survived by her three sons and their wives; Rick and Karen, Kevin and Laura, and Terry and Debbie, her 9 grandchildren; Ryan, Jonathan, Janine, Michelle, Justin, Tyler, Richard, David and Samuel, and 7 great-grandchildren. Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavely Funeral Home, 440 South Coy Road, Oregon, Ohio on Friday, January 6th, from 4pm-8pm. The Funeral service will be at the Echo Meadows Church of Christ, 2905 Oregon, Ohio, 43616, at 11:00 am, Saturday, January 7th, 2017, where the family will greet friends 1 hour prior. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Echo Meadows Church of Christ Seniors Fund.
