Shanda Backus, 51, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2026. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on September 18, 1975 to Walter and Jacqueline (Middaugh) Backus.

Shanda graduated from Clay High School and would work as a server for several years. Shanda enjoyed going with her dad and step mom to play card games. She was a selfless woman and cherished her family and friends who will miss her dearly.

She is survived by her significant other, Terry; siblings, Ric (Lynn) Backus, Keith (Kelly) Backus and Deneen Parker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents and brothers, Chris and Greg Backus.
