Shane O'Neill Sweeney, 28 of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 in his residence. Shane was born in Toledo, Ohio on June 13, 1994 to Douglas Sweeney and Wendy Carlile. Shane, was a 2012 graduate of Clay High School, where he excelled in baseball and hockey. Shane titled himself as an entrepreneur and had lots of ventures including flooring, car detailing, etc….

Unfortunately, Shane succumbed to drug addiction and mental health issues. His demons are finally laid to rest. He has peace now. We will miss and love our beautiful son, father and friend forever more.

Shane is survived by his mother Wendy Carlile and father, Douglas (Denise) Sweeney. His loving children, Jaxon, Luna, Jade and their mother Sierra Webb.

Grandmother, Margie Carlile, step-sister, Megan (Don) Waite, aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 17 at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon from 2:00 pm until the time of Celebration of Life Service at 7:00 pm. Interment will be private at Toledo Memorial Park. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Shane's memory are asked to consider his children, checks made payable to Wendy Carlile.
