Sharon A. Cherry, 73, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 in Regency Hospital. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on May 22, 1941 to Richard A. and Anna F. Hugh. Sharon graduated from Genoa High School and worked for Raceway Park for 20 years as a mixologist retiring in 2010. Surviving are her daughters, Julie (Joel) Steingraber and Jodi (James Helmeci) Cherry; sister, Sally (John) Andre; grandchildren, Halie and Jacob Steingraber; cousins, James (Lynn) Reed and Vicki Farnsworth and uncle, George Sharpe. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents. Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. on Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 10 am until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place in Lake Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Diabetes Association.
