Sharon Rose Lestage, 73, of Perrysburg, OH and formerly of Oregon, OH passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at the University of Michigan Medical Center, Ann Arbor, MI. She was born in Toledo, OH on March 10, 1937 to Warren and Geneva (Donald) Stretchbery. Sharon graduated Magna Cum Laude from B.G.S.U. with a bachelor'™s degree and earned her master'™s degree at the University of Toledo. She worked as a teacher for 34 years at Jerusalem Elementary and Eisenhower Middle School retiring from Oregon City Schools in 1999. Sharon'™s journey of faith started at Faith United Methodist Church, continued at Oregon Church of the Nazarene and most recently with Main Street Church in Walbridge, OH. She volunteered as a bible class leader, usher and sang in the choir. Sharon was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, Retired Teacher'™s Association and enjoyed reading, traveling, and taking cruises. She also enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers, Pistons and the University of Michigan. Surviving are her husband, of 28 years, Rocky; son, Scott A. (Darlene) and their children, Jason and Jacob; daughter, Suzanne L. (Jim) Osenbaugh and their daughter, Hannah; step-son, Michael (Amy) Lestage and their children, Derek and Jack. She also will be dearly missed by a variety of host children. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel 440 S. Coy Rd. on Sunday, May 2, 2010 from 12-8 pm. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Monday at 11 am with interment to follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
