Sheila F. Ball, 76, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on December 6, 2017 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born in Toledo, Ohio to Paul and Edna (Burton) Brown on September 11, 1941. She went to DeVilbiss High School and went on to work at the Toledo Club for 23 years before retiring in 2007. Sheila enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, quilting, but especially cooking and baking for all. She was a member of St. Jerome's Catholic Church. Her personality was like none other, always taking the role of the caregiver. Her friends were very important to her and it seemed like no one was a stranger. Sheila was strong willed and always the director of the family. What "Nana" cherished most was spending time with her family and grandchildren. She had a kind soul and will deeply be missed by all who knew her. Sheila is survived by her children, Holly (John) Pryke, Steve (Karen) Ball, of Villa Park, Illinois; grandchildren, Megan, Andrew, Rachel. Sarah; siblings, Kay Scherer, Jim Rogers, Debralee Rogers, David Guest, Gary Guest, John Guest; and many nieces, nephews and loving family members. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Paula Jacobs, Patricia Carter; nephews, Jeff Pfeiffer and Jim Carter. The family will greet friends at St. Jerome Church, 300 Warner St. Walbridge, OH 43465 on Monday, December 18, 2017 from 10:00 am until the time of Mass at 11:00 am. The family asks in lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy be directed to the Ball family or Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Eggleston-Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home is assisting the family.
