Sheila A. DeCoster, 62 of east Toledo, passed away unexpectedly Friday, August 5, 2011 at her residence. 'œSheila D' as affectionately known in her neighborhood was born in Athens, Ohio on February 26, 1949 to Robert and Helen (Wheeler) Hahn, who preceded her in death. Sheila is survived by her loving husband, whom she married on October 5, 1968, Richard F. DeCoster; children, Jodi (Todd) Bates, Jennifer Fry, Melissa (Scott) Goeder; stepson, Ricky Vermilyea; 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; siblings, Raymond, Roger and Tracy Vess. Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. where her funeral service will take place on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park.
