Shirley I. Barker, 71, of Perrysburg, passed away Friday, March 6, 2009 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Shirley was born on April 30, 1937 to Verda and Theora (Bassett) Burden. She had worked 20 years for Tecumseh Products. Shirley was a member of American Legion 514 in Temperance, Michigan, and The Monroe Smokehouse AA, in Monroe, Michigan. Surviving are her children, Richard (Jennifer), Donald Jr., Irwin (Patricia), Patrick (Lynn) Barker, Patricia (Eugene) Garcia, Angela Napierala; brother, John Burden; sister, Genevieve Lawrence; 15 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and 5 brothers. Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2009 at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel. Funeral services will be in the funeral home on Monday at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
