Shirley A. Csehi, 63 of Oregon, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Perrysburg. Shirley was born in Toledo, on December 25, 1947 to John and Goldie (Pearson) Glazier. She was a member of the first graduating class from Cardinal Stritch High School in 1965. Shirley an avid golfer, had her happiest golf moment at the Orchard Hills Country Club when she had a hole in one. She was a member of Belmont County Club and the Toledo Women'™s Golf Association. Shirley coached girls volleyball for Fassett Jr. High and coached girls softball for the City of Oregon; where her team won the first State Championship for the City. She and her husband, Dennis, enjoyed traveling extensively. Most of all Shirley loved being with her family, spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. Her family was her first love.
Surviving are her husband, Dennis M.; daughters and sons-in-laws, Cherie L. (Joseph) Sexton; Lisa M. (Douglas) Gardner, Rebecca A. (Rusty) Fuller; mother-in-law, Angela Csehi; grandchildren, Joshua, Jordan, Zachary, Brady Sexton; Leah (Travis Reeder), Krista Gardner; Nicholas, Trent, Tyler Fuller; great grandson, Travis Reeder Jr.; sister, Barbara (John) Brenkman; brother, Robert Glazier; brothers and sisters-in-laws; Michael (Betty), Bryan (Pam) Csehi, Diane (Curtis) O'™Neill. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law, Julius Csehi.
Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. where the recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7p.m.. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 1105 North Elliston Rd., Bono, where the family will greet friends beginning at 9:30 a.m.. Interment will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery.
