Shirley R. Henkle, 78, of Oregon and formerly of Northwood passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2007, in Toledo Hospital. Shirley was born in Toledo on January 29, 1929, to Ernest and Rhua Osborn. She was the widow of Roy Duane Henkle who preceded her in death in 1987. Mrs. Henkle was employed for the Northwood Schools where she worked as a bookkeeper for many years. Surviving are her daughters, Diane Sobol, Jodi (Steve) Maurus, Kelly Simpson; sons, Michael (Kathy), Craig, and Curt (Karen) Henkle; sister, Margaret Hurst; 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grand-children. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, 440 S. Coy Rd. where visitation will be Tuesday from 2 to 9 p.m. Entombment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
