Shirley A. Hymore, 83, of Luckey, Ohio, passed away on Friday, March 10, 2017 at home. She was born in Toledo, Ohio, on February 6, 1934 to Jack and Irene (Kosmatka) Phalen. Shirley worked at Joseph's Supermarket and Foodtown for many years before retiring in the late 80's. In her free time, she enjoyed ceramics, painting, crafts, shopping and gambling. Shirley's love of cooking led to the origination of the catering business for the Bayside Boardwalk.
Shirley is survived be her sons, Keith (Corky) Hymore and Terry Hymore; grandchildren, Ryan (Megan), Courtney, Eric (Dana) and Maddie; great-grandchildren, Cooper, Henry, Alex, Maggie, Wes, Josie and Keegan; and siblings, Annette Dzienny and Jackie Bielinski. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Albert Hymore; and siblings, Marilyn Phalen, Pat Walser and James Phalen.
Friends may call at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, 440 S. Coy Rd on Wednesday, March 15 from 2-8 p.m. and where a Rosary Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will also be held on Thursday, March 16 at Gesu Roman Catholic Parish, 2045 Parkside Blvd., Toledo, Ohio 43607 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
