Shirley A. Kurth, 71, of Toledo, OH passed away January 13, 2003 in her daughter's home. She was born on November 8, 1932 in Toledo, OH to James and Hazel (Flannigan) Tarr. She was married to Donald "Cup" Kurth on April 2, 1955 and enjoyed 26 years of marriage before his passing in 1981. Shirley was employed by Riverside Hospital as an account payable and payroll clerk for 15 years, retiring in 1996. She was an avid bowler, bingo and bunco player and enjoyed following both the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Detroit Pistons. Surviving are her children, Daniel (Julie), Jack (Lauren), Ronald (Kate) Kurth and Beverly (Jeff) Ennis; grandchildren, Jason, Jacob, Daniel Jr., Jared, Aaron, Ashley and "Junior"; brothers, William (Mary), Raymond (Pauline) and Larry "Tom" (Joanne) Tarr; sister, Marlene (Pete) Hodak; special sister-in-law, Joanne Reno and special friend, Jean McBride. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Robert, James and Donald Tarr; sisters, Florence Schmidt, Betty Kurth, Lois Rawlings and Carol Tarr. Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, OH on Thursday from 2-9 p.m. where funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
