Shirley E. Lodzinski, 85, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on August 29, 2017 at Promedica Bay Park Hospital. She was born in Toledo, Ohio to Emil and Marritta (Muntz) Reihing on January 9, 1932. Shirley married the love of her life, Chester Lodzinski on January 8, 1951, who preceded her in death. She was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church. She loved going on senior trips with her sisters, crocheting blankets for all of her grandchildren, fishing, camping and traveling out west with her late husband Chet. She especially loved the Smokey Mountains. What was most important to her were the family gatherings where she would be with her children, grandchildren and loving friends. Shirley was an amazing woman who had a kind soul and loved so many. Shirley will truly be missed by all who knew her. Shirley is survived by her children, Andy (Kay) Lodzinski, Mark (Beth) Lodzinski, Sharon Lodzinski, Steve (Cindy) Lodzinski; brother, James (Linda) Reihing; 9 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Chester; sons, Paul and David Lodzinski; sisters, Jeannette Woggerman, Dottie Kurek; and grandson Chad Lodzinski. Friends and family may visit Eggleston-Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., Oregon, Ohio 43616 on Thursday, August 31, 2017 from 2-8 pm. The family will greet friends on Friday, September 1, 2017 at St. Ignatius Church, 212 N. Stadium Rd., Oregon, Ohio 43616 from 10:00 am until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am.
