Shirley M. Richards, 85, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2022. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on August 4, 1937 to Earl Carr and Mary (Casey) Robinson. She graduated from Goshen High School and shortly after married the love of her life, Frank Richards, who preceded her in death. Shirley enjoyed storytelling, crocheting, spending time with her horse Lakota and was an avid reader. She also liked tending to her flower garden. Above all, Shirley had a fierce love for her grandchildren and family who will miss her dearly.

She is survived by her children, Wendy (Robert) Majchszak, Ernest Richards, Kevin (Janet) Richards, Penny (Thomas) McCamey, Nancy (Edward) Ladd, Julia Richards; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 56 years, Frank; parents; infant daughter, Laura; and grandson, Jacob.

The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel 440 S. Coy Road Thursday, January 5, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Expressions of sympathy in Shirley's name may be directed to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
