Obituary

Shirley A. Shank, 56, formerly of Northwood, Ohio passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2002 at Fairview Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Odd,West Virginia on January 3, 1946 to Paul and Hazel (Shrewsbury) Day Sr. Shirley was employed at various area restaurants and bakeries. She was a past president and member of the Northwood VFW Post 2984 Ladies Auxiliary. Shirley was an avid Ohio State fan and enjoyed fishing and spending time with her grandchildren.Surviving are her daughter, Tamara (Bobby) Morgan, Toledo, OH; sons, William (Kathy) Shank, Perrysburg, and Robert Shank, Toledo, OH; son-in-law, Frank Thomas,Haskins, OH; brothers, James (Grace) Day, Northwood, OH, Jerry (Louise) Day,Northwood, OH, Robert (Mary) Day, Luckey, OH, Dan (Deborah) Day, Toledo and David Day, Northwood, OH; sisters, Geneva (Willard) Long, Jr., Jerry City, OH, Sarah Grimes, Northwood, OH, Penny Day, Northwood, OH and Linda (William) Lairson,Toledo; grandchildren, Shane Thomas, Nicole Thomas, Bobby Morgan, Scott Morgan,Justin Morgan, Hannah Shank and Christopher Shank.Shirley was preceded in death by her daughter, Cheryl Thomas; brothers, Joseph and Paul Day, Jr. and her parents. The family will receive friends at the Eggleston-Meinert Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road at Starr Avenue Oregon, Ohio on Tuesday from 2-8 pm where funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Park. Memorial contributions in Shirleys honor may be made to the American Heart Association. Visitation: Visitation Times
