Shirley J. Varwig, 89, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at St. Vincent Medical Center. Shirley was born on January 16, 1926 to Clarence and Clara (Alexander) Hamilton. She graduated from Celina High School and a few years later she married Russell A. Varwig Sr. Shirley enjoyed fishing with her husband, setting up at flea markets and making ceramics. Shirley is survived by her children, Russell (Tina) Varwig Jr., Rosemary "Kathy" Meagher, Shirley (Bob) Clark, Virginia "Lorrie" Varwig; 9 grandchildren 13 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Russell Varwig Sr. Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 from 3-8 pm. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 10:00 in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
