Shirley Mae Vogelpohl, 80, of Curtice, passed away Tuesday, June 1st, 2010 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on July 7th 1929 to Herman and Dora (Schinharl) Lang. In November, 1948, she married Robert Vogelpohl and he preceded her in death. She worked as a supervisor with State Aerial Farm Statistics for 37 years, retiring in 1996. Shirley enjoyed traveling, scrap booking, and was admired for her artistic talents. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Shirley is survived by her sons, Jack (Carol), Chris (Darla), and Bill (Rhonda) Vogelpohl; grandchildren, Andrea (Wes) Waters, Danielle, Curt, Dana (Angie), Karyn, Marc (Gail), and Brody (Rebekah) Vogelpohl; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Donald (Eleanor) Lang, and sister, Evelyn (William) Giles. Shirley is also survived by many loving family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert, and brother, Melvin Lang.
