Shirley G. Wamer, 88, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Monday, March 3, 2025, at the University of Toledo Medical Center. Jeannie was born June 1, 1936, in Zionville, North Carolina. Jeannie was active in the lives of her children as a cub scout den mother and supported her children's sporting events. She took great pride in the flower and vegetable gardens around her home, sewing, baking, canning, and cooking delicious meals for her family. Jeannie loved visiting her favorite casinos and was always up for a game of cards with fellow residents at Heritage of Waterville.
Jeannie is survived by her children, Denise McCarthy, Kenneth (Teresa) Webb, Robbie (Deanna) Price, and Gwendolyn (Tim) Hartford; grandchildren, Josh, Carrie, Shawn, Kyle, Alyssa, Ryan, Cullen, Ian (Brooke), Sarah, Kimberly (Michael), KJ, Amber, Alyssa, Bailey, Caitlyn, Melanie, Sean (Nicole) and Jessica; many great-grandchildren; sister, Judy (Doug) Keller; along with many loving family members and friends. Preceded in death by her mother, Mae; husband, Robert; son, Terry; grandchildren, Justin & Tabitha; son-in-law, Brian McCarthy; and brothers, Joe, Bill, and Jerry.
The family will receive friends Thursday, March 6, 2025, at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road from 10:00 am until funeral service at 12:30 pm. Interment: Toledo Memorial Park. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to a charity of the donor's choice.
