Shirley M. Warnke, 81, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Friday, April 24, 2009 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born in Pemberville, Ohio on July 09, 1927 to Willis and Emma (Kuhlman) Schwane. Shirley was a member of First St. John Lutheran Church where she was past secretary of the Sunday School. She also was past president of the Clay Elementary Mother's Club when her children were in school. Shirley enjoyed playing cards, travelling and spending time at the Greektown Casino. Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Earl; daughter, Deborah Lofquist; sister, Eleanor Habegger; grandchildren, Angela (Andrew) Harwig, Ben Warnke, Christopher (Breena) Lofquist; Cory and Cole Lofquist; niece, Sandy (Tom) Gaverick and nephew, Dave (Diane) Habegger. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Terrance. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2009 from 2-9 pm at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel 440 S. Coy Rd., Oregon, Ohio. Services will be conducted on Friday at 1 pm in First St. John Lutheran Church 2471 Seaman Rd. Toledo, Ohio where the family will greet visitors after 12 noon. Interment will take place in North Oregon Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy can be made in Shirley's name to First St. John Lutheran Church or the charity of the donor's choice.The family would like to extend special thanks to Hospice nurses, Roxanne and Jim for all their loving care.
