Soñia Pecina
Soñia Pecina-Anaya beloved mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, niece, sister-in-law, and best friend too many joined her father Leno sister Virginia and grandparents on Friday, November 17, 2006. There are not enough words to describe Soñia. She was beautiful, loving, and always lending a helping hand. She always thought of others before herself and always went out of her way to lend a helping hand to all her family and friends. Soñia was a tireless worker, she had a great sense of humor, and she loved to dance, laugh, and have a good time. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her children, Zulema (Antonio) Lopez, Sonia (Brian Wood) Anaya, Victor Anaya, Luisa Anaya; mother, Ruperta Pecina; sisters, Ramona Pecina, Flora Gonzales; brothers Robert, Richard, Martin, Gregory, and Leno; grandchildren, Angelita, Aliyah, Zoie, Veronica, Brock, and Gabriella; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Soñia was preceded in death by her father, Leno Pecina; and sister, Virginia Pecina Hudson.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 3-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 12-9 p.m. at Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., Oregon. Funeral services will begin in Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. in the funeral home and proceed to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private in Lake Township Cemetery. Those wishing to make and expression in Soñia's memory are asked to consider her family through Fifth Third Bank.
