Sophie T. Urbanowicz Kokocinski, 93, of Pemberville, Ohio and formerly of north Toledo, passed away Friday, September 7, 2007, at St. Charles Mercy Hospital. Sophie was born on November 28, 1913, in Toledo to Frank and Theresa Wisniewski. Sophie was a member of the former St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church. After moving to Pemberville, Sophie attended mass at St. Jerome Catholic Church. Sophie enjoyed watching her "Cleveland Indians" play, loved polka music, dancing, playing cards and crocheting; but most of all spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Carolyn Urbanowicz; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Doug Gignac; grandchildren, Rob (Sharon), Rick (Becky), Randy Urbanowicz, Kim, Mark (Erica) King, Karen (Chad) Weise; 10 great-grandchildren, step son, Bernard Kokocinski. Sophie was preceded in death by her husbands, Peter Urbanowicz and Frank Kokocinski; her parents, brothers, Ted and Stanley Wisniewski; sister, Frances Sochacki; step sons, Paul and Gerald Kokocinski. Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road, Millbury, on Monday from 3-8 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. and proceed to St. Jerome Catholic Church, 300 Warner Street, Walbridge for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
