Squeek Rieker, 78, of Toledo, OH passed away February 20, 2004 in St. Anne's Mercy Hospital. He was born on March 12, 1925 in Toledo, OH to Christian and Marie (Steiner) Rieker. Squeek was a WW II veteran serving his country in the US Coast Guard. He was employed as a firefighter for the City of Toledo for 30
years, retiring in 1983. Squeek was an avid boater and sailor belonging to many
clubs. He was a charter member and past commodore of the Toledo Sailing Club, member of the Ottawa River Yacht Club , American Legion Arthur Daily #334 and VFW Post #2984 Northwood.
Surviving are his son, David (Dorothy) of Columbus, OH; sister, Mary Jane (Donald) Rahrig of Bradenton, FL; brother-in-law, William Kramer; several nieces
and nephews; special children, Rick (Shirley) Howell, Randy (Marilyn) Howell, Vicky (Jim) Patchen and Russ (JoAnn) Merrihew. Squeek was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Helen Kramer; special friend Violet Howell and special son, David Merrihew.

Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, OH on Sunday, February 22, 2004 from 12 p.m. until 7 p.m. where funeral services will be conducted at 4p.m. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Squeek's name may consider the ORYC or the Toledo Fire Department Retirement Fund.
